Members have 7 day a week access to the 300 yard rifle range. Berms are set at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards. Targets may be attached to the plywood backing or target stands may be used. Steel targets may be used if setup according to the manufacturers instructions.

Binary explosive targets such as tannerite shall not be used on the outdoor range.

Below is a list of rifle range rules. Here is a full list of club rules.

1.  ONLY PAPER TARGETS SHALL BE USED ON THE TARGET HOLDERS ON THE 25, 50, 100, 200, & 300 YARD RANGES.  ALL TARGETS MUST BE AT THE ESTABLISHED BACKSTOPS.

2.  DO NOT SHOOT AT ANY METALLIC  PLATE TYPE TARGET CLOSER THAN 100 YARDS.  DO NOT MOVE PLATES!    METAL PLATE TARGETS SHALL BE USED ONLY ON DESIGNATED FRAMES AT 100, 200, & 300 YARDS.

3.  FIRING  MUST BE DONE FROM THE FIRING LINE WHICH IS THE SHOOTING TABLE AREAS,  OR ON A LINE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF, OR TO OF THE SHOOTING TABLES.

4.  PAPER TARGETS SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF AFTER SHOOTING;  AND THE SHOOTING AREA SHALL BE CLEANED UP.  THIS ALSO MEANS REMOVING ALL BRASS CASINGS OR SPENT SHELLS FROM THE AREA AND PLACING WHAT YOU DON’T WANT IN THE RED METAL CONTAINER MARKED “FIRED BRASS ONLY”.  PLEASE REMOVE ALL LIVE AMMUNITION AND TAKE IT WITH YOU. LIVE AMMO IN THE BRASS PRECLUDES OUR ABILITY TO RECYCLE

5.  RIFLES, WHENEVER POSSIBLE, SHALL BE ZERO SIGHTED IN AT THE 25 OR 50 YARD RANGES PREVIOUS TO SHOOTING AT LONGER DISTANCED TARGETS.

6.  THE PIN TABLE SHALL BE USED WITH YOUR OWN BOWLING PINS, AND SHALL BE USED FOR BOWLING PINS ONLY.  HANDGUNS ARE THE ONLY FIREARMS PERMITTED AT THE PIN TABLE.  THE LINE OF FIRE SHALL BE DIRECTED AT THE 25 YARD BACKSTOP.  DO NOT USE  THE PIN TABLE DURING TRAP SHOOTS OR WHEN THE TRAP RANGE IS OCCUPIED.  THIS ALSO APPLIES WHEN THERE IS ANY ACTIVITY TO THE SIDE OF, OR DOWN RANGE FROM THE PIN TABLE.  DO NOT USE THE TABLE OR ITS LEGS TO SUSPEND ANY TARGETS!!!

7.  SPECTATORS MUST BE DIRECTLY BEHIND THE FIRING LINE FOR ANY SHOOTING.

8.  DO NOT USE THE RIFLE RANGE  AT ANY TIME THERE IS ANY ACTIVITY DOWN RANGE OF THE FIRING LINE.

9.  ALL SHOOTERS WILL WEAR EYE & EAR PROTECTION WHILE SHOOTING, AND IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SHOOTERS TO NOTIFY OBSERVERS, OR OTHER SHOOTERS, WHEN YOU ARE READY TO FIRE.

10.  NO PARKING IN FRONT OF THE FIRING LINE AND/OR BENCH REST AREA.

11.  PLEASE!!! DO NOT LEAVE OBJECTS ON OUTDOOR RANGES OUR MOWERS MIGHT HIT.  (IE: METAL TARGETS, BOWLING PINS, LOGS/STUMPS, ETC.)

12.   WHEN USING YOUR OWN TARGET HOLDERS, MAKE CERTAIN THAT TARGET HOLDERS ARE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE BERM AT THE YARDAGE YOU ARE SHOOTING AT.  EXAMPLE:   DO NOT PLACE YOUR TARGET AND HOLDER AT OR AROUND 25 YARDS AND EXPECT THE 100 YARD BERM TO STOP YOUR BULLETS!!  IF YOU ARE SHOOTING AT 25 YARDS, PLACE YOUR TARGET HOLDER IN FRONT OF THE 25 YARD BERM.

13. NO SHOOTING ON THE RIFLE RANGE AFTER SUNSET!!

COMMON COURTESY GOES A LONG WAY TOWARDS PERMITTING MORE THAN ONE TO USE THE FACILITY. AN EXAMPLE…..DO NOT USE THE FAR LEFT BENCH TO SHOOT ACROSS THE LINE AT THE 25 YARD TARGET, AS THIS CAN PRECLUDE OTHERS FROM SHOOTING AT LONGER RANGES.

NO POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ON CLUB GROUNDS.
